Dr. Shweta Singh’s story is one of audacity and vision, where every step has been a testament to perseverance, passion, and the power of ideas. Her journey began in the unassuming classrooms of V.B.S. Purvanchal University, where she quickly distinguished herself with a double major in Chemistry and Botany. Earning top honors in 2004, she laid the foundation for a future that would see her break barriers in biotechnology, education, and intellectual property. This was no accident—her thirst for knowledge was unrelenting. By 2006, she had earned a Master of Science in Biotechnology, and her ambition only grew from there. Her subsequent MBA in Biotechnology Management from Amity University and postgraduate diplomas in Patent Law and Pharma Regulatory Affairs became the stepping stones that would later enable her to challenge the status quo in the global landscape of innovation. In 2011, after years of intense academic rigor, Shweta’s professional path took a definitive turn. She joined Jubilant Chemsys as a young patent analyst, diving deep into the complex world of intellectual property. By 2013, as she was seconded to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a spark was ignited. She saw firsthand how inventors—especially those from smaller communities—struggled to protect the fruits of their labor. It was this experience that would define her mission moving forward: to democratize access to intellectual property and empower the world’s forgotten creators. In the same year, Shweta founded Ennoble IP in New Delhi. It was a bold leap—no investors, no grand backing—just her passion and a vision to create a platform that would help businesses and startups protect and leverage their intellectual property rights. Starting with just herself and a colleague in a modest office, she built Ennoble into a global powerhouse. In the years that followed, the company guided over 1,000 startups through the intricate maze of patent filings, international licensing, and IP litigation strategies, across 30 countries. Yet it wasn’t just about business for Shweta; it was about breaking barriers and opening doors for others. In 2015, she launched IP Yatra, India’s first nationwide roadshow on intellectual property, reaching thousands of young minds in rural towns, empowering them with the knowledge of how their creativity could change the world.

Her entrepreneurial spirit wasn’t just about scaling a business—it was about scaling impact. As the founder of Ennoble IP, Shweta found her voice as a thought leader. Her company became synonymous with the idea that intellectual property is the bedrock on which innovation is built. Yet Shweta’s heart remained focused on a singular mission: to enable women entrepreneurs.

In 2016, she founded the Women Innovation & Entrepreneurship Foundation, ensuring women-led startups had the resources, networks, and mentoring support to thrive. But she didn’t stop there. In 2021, she launched SheReal, the world’s first professional network built for women, by women—a platform where ambitious female innovators could connect, share, and grow together. This, she knew, would be her legacy.

Shweta’s career milestones are nothing short of extraordinary. From being recognized by Times’ Forty Under Forty to receiving the Economic Times’ Women Leader of the Year award in 2023-24, to being personally commended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shweta’s accomplishments echo far beyond her field. Each recognition is not just a trophy on a shelf but a call to action for the next generation of women leaders to rise up and claim their space.

Her vision has transformed her into an icon of resilience and hope, with accolades like the Iconic Woman of the Year by the World Economic Forum and the Shakti Award, which celebrate not just her success but her unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries for others.

In 2022, she became one of IAM’s Leading IP Strategists, a reflection of her expertise and global influence. But her true passion lies in one thing: creating a future where ideas don’t just stay ideas. They are nurtured, protected, and given the space to grow. As the Chair of the Council of Industrial Innovation & Research, Shweta is shaping the future of India’s self-reliant future, forging a path for industries to thrive in an interconnected, innovative world.

But beyond all her degrees, accolades, and professional successes, it’s the human impact that Shweta has had on countless lives that stands as her most remarkable achievement. Her approach is deeply personal—whether it’s mentoring women in rural India, providing legal counsel to a young innovator, or advocating for systemic change in intellectual property law, she is driven by a relentless belief in the power of people.

Dr. Shweta Singh’s story is one of tireless dedication to a vision, of challenges overcome with ingenuity and grit. She has turned every roadblock into an opportunity for others to rise with her. Her journey is a powerful reminder that true leadership is not just about leading—it’s about lighting the way for others to follow.

From a small town to the global stage, she’s proven that with passion, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to others’ success, you can rewrite the rules of what’s possible. Her work and legacy are transforming the landscape of intellectual property, empowering the world’s forgotten creators, and showing us all that innovation is not just a tool for growth—it’s a force for change.
