Sustainability Manager, West & Central Africa @Diageo | Speaker
Christianah O. Robinson’s story is a powerful blend of passion, purpose, and relentless pursuit of impact. From her earliest days, she was drawn to initiatives that left a meaningful imprint on people and the environment. That spark ignited a remarkable journey—one that now sees her leading the charge in sustainability across West and Central Africa for one of the world’s largest beverage companies. Her academic excellence was evident early on. Twice awarded the prestigious Nestlé West & Central Africa Secondary & Tertiary Scholarship—first in 2008 and again in 2015—Christianah’s potential was undeniable. But she wasn’t just chasing academic accolades; she was carving a path toward influence, a future where strategy and service would collide for good. That path led her into Corporate Communications and Sustainability—a perfect intersection of storytelling, environmental stewardship, and stakeholder engagement. Over the course of more than six years, she honed her skills across project management, leadership engagement, and communications, building a reputation as a results-driven professional who doesn’t just deliver—she inspires. Her impact at Guinness Nigeria was undeniable. Whether leading large-scale community cleanups in collaboration with the Food and Beverage Recycling Alliance or championing sustainability under the “Grain to Glass” initiative, Christianah consistently transformed ideas into action. Her leadership on World Environment Day and World Clean-Up Day projects not only mobilized teams but brought corporate commitments to life in local communities. For her efforts in fostering connection during the isolating days of the COVID-19 pandemic, she earned the Guinness Nigeria Employee Recognition Award in 2020—a testament to her gift for nurturing engagement even in the toughest times.

By 2023, Christianah’s expertise had grown beyond borders. Joining Diageo’s Partner and Emerging Markets on secondment as Communications and ESG Manager, she oversaw strategies across 32 African countries, each with its own unique story, challenge, and opportunity. She brought people together, aligned messages with values, and implemented the Society 2030 agenda with clarity and commitment. Her efforts did not go unnoticed—she was honored with the “Unsung Hero of the Year” award, a quiet but powerful recognition of her behind-the-scenes brilliance.

In yet another bold leap, she later took on the role of Communications Manager for Diageo’s global Digital Transformation for Finance, serving teams spread across Budapest, Bangalore, Bogota, and Manila. From launching the CG Learning Academy to driving employee engagement globally, she made it clear: borders don’t limit her impact—they expand it. Today, as Sustainability Manager for West & Central Africa at Diageo, Christianah is living out the very essence of her passion. She leads the “Spirit of Progress” movement across the region, championing inclusion and diversity, promoting positive drinking habits, and pioneering sustainable practices from grain to glass. From Angola to Nigeria, she’s been at the heart of initiatives like Learning for Life, International Women’s Day, and Love in Action, weaving compassion into corporate strategy.

Her earlier roles—from serving as Communications and Sustainability Specialist at Willco to contributing as an editor for Guinness Nigeria’s Internal Pulse Magazine—were all stepping stones. Each experience sharpened her ability to communicate with heart, lead with empathy, and act with vision. She has managed internal communications across C-suite executives, driven quarterly reporting excellence, and supported executive boards with strategic insight that moves the needle.

Christianah isn’t just a sustainability expert—she is a movement maker. Her journey is proof that when passion meets purpose, impact becomes inevitable. She embraces new challenges like a lifelong learner, constantly upgrading her skills, growing into roles before they even have names. Hers is not just a story of career milestones—it’s a story of meaningful evolution, a masterclass in how to lead with authenticity, serve with humility, and change the world one strategic step at a time.
